Serve & Organize

Takoma Park is a city of volunteers, organizers, and activists. At Takoma Park Church, we believe the way of Christ involves caring for the material needs of our community through mutual aid and intentional organizing. Find out how you can unite your gifts, energy, and passion with the broader community as part of a common rhythm of service.

Stephen Erich

“Takoma Park is the most civically engaged church I've belonged to. It brings me joy to know I can bring community issues to my congregation and they will listen and act."

Why Serve & Organize

The Adventist Church has a legacy that includes anti-slavery, anti-war, and pro-health organizing. We continue to build on this spirit in coordination with many excellent community partners in food security, immigrant support, local organizing, and more. You can participate in this work of common grace regardless of your religious belief, identity, or qualifications. All are welcome.
