An Invitation To Write For Your Church’s Teen Blog

Content

You will be given a range of topics to write on over time. We ask that you stay within the topic given.

Guidelines

Your post must be original and not previously published either on the web or in print.
You agree not to publish it anywhere else, including your own blog or website. You may, however, post a brief “teaser” or summary on your site that links to the post.
You may provide up to three byline links: one for your blog or website, one for your bio or About page, and one for your Twitter account.
Your post should be at least 500 words long.

Editing

We typically copyedit your post for grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. If we make substantive changes (unlikely), we’ll email the post back to you before posting.
We may provide a short introduction or conclusion to your post to provide context or the rationale as to why we think the post is important. We will make sure that our comments are set off from yours stylistically, so that our audience is clear that these are ours and not yours.

Disclaimer

We appreciate the work that it takes to write a blog post. However, the fact that you have written a post and submitted it to us does not obligate us to publish it. The only posts we will publish are those that in our sole judgment add value to our readership.

Furthermore, if we do not approve your guest post, we may not explain why we did not approve it or provide any detail.

Are you interested?

Please send an email to Communications@thetpchurch.org letting us know of your interest in writing for your Church’s Teen Blog. By agreeing to write for this blog you are confirming that you are willing to engage with our readers in the comments about your post. This is hugely important and a non-negotiable. We would like our readers who come to interact with us in this fashion.

If we don’t accept your post, you are obviously free to do whatever you want with it, including publishing it elsewhere.
