Children's Church

This group meets once a month in the church's lower level.

Adventurers

This ministry involves children that are ages 5 through 10.  We hike, do community service projects, cook, and learn about our surroundings by visiting the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Sugarloaf Mountain, Baltimore Science Center, Sight and Sound Theater, and many other interesting places. When you think Adventures, think about a combination of the Cub Scout and Brownies along with an emphasis in loving Jesus.

We know how important it is for a child, yours or ours, to have healthy social, recreational and spiritual activities as a part of their growth. Learning, particularly early in life, is so important.  This is why we work to introduce children to exciting experiences that will challenge them to think and grow both intellectually and spiritually.  If you have young children, this is the kind of ministry you will want to take full advantage of.  Our ministry is primarily about building the character of children for the Kingdom of God.  We cordially invite you and your children to come and be a part of the Takoma Park Church and the Adventurers ministry.  We guarantee you will be glad you did!

Rangers Pathfinder Club

The Rangers are an extraordinary group of youth, ages 10-15.  The Rangers are a Pathfinder club, which is a co-ed, scout-like group that learns camping, survival, and life skills, both individually and collectively.  Pathfinder clubs are found worldwide, in association with Seventh-day Adventist churches.

We discover things about ourselves and our Creator through active exploration of nature and our environment and earn honor patches that demonstrate our understanding.  There are opportunities to serve both God and man through community service and outreach activities, such as collecting food and assembling Thanksgiving baskets, parades, fairs, camporees, and nursing home visitations.  Pathfinders is about discipline, hard work, and having fun, all while developing leadership skills and relationships with peers and our friend Jesus.

Vacation Bible School (Summer)

Great program dedicated to reaching children in the community during the summer weeks. Activities include arts and crafts.
