THE HOLE IN OUR GOSPEL   T.D. Jakes Sr. has described The Hole in Our Gospel as “a clarion call for the church to arise and answer the question, Who is my neighbor?…. If you read this book, you will be inspired, but if you do what this book is asking, you will be forever changed.” Like the prophets’ message we studied in Sabbath School this past summer, this book brings a message from God about those in need around the world: “Church, where art thou?”  Watch this short video from the author. Not even rain, which tried its best to soak the saints, could dampen the outlook for those in attendance. They simply drew closer together and laughed at the predicament. One child even turned the rain into a game, as only a child’s mind can conjure, catching rain drops falling from …

Additional chairs had to be added as people continued to filter into the Keystone Room Friday evening. Members and visitors gathered to learn about our individual “W.O.R.T.H.” As Khadene Taffe and Minister of Music Anwar Ottley led out in a combined worship and presentation session, attendees found that real self-worth all comes back to God’s sacrifice of His only son for us. Khadene Taffe shared some of her personal story and prompted, “We must remember the moment we met Christ.” Family Life Weekend focused not only on that first introduction, but also on an ongoing relationship …

Ready! 2016 Revival Week by Maya Suero

Takoma Park Church Gets “Ready” During Revival Week A group of young adults and children clad in white shirts made their way down the front stairs. As they filtered into the pews of the choir loft, these members of the DMV Youth Choir gazed out over the array of faces in the congregation. It almost looked and sounded like a typical Sabbath service if not for the lack of sunlight outside the sanctuary windows Sunday evening, April 17. The Takoma Park Church (TPC) family and visitors opened the Book of Revelation for the first of several …
